UnderBedFit is a free, browser-based tool for checking storage-bin footprints, height, obstacles and retrieval before purchase.

The problem

Mattress labels and cubic volume do not describe the usable space below a bed. Frames introduce rails, legs, motors and uneven clearances. Even a bin that fits geometrically can become trapped behind another bin.

The approach

The planner uses measurements entered by the visitor, tests permitted rotations around user-defined obstacles and evaluates a straight pull-out route to each accessible edge. The result is visual, inspectable and easy to print.

Independence and maintenance

UnderBedFit does not maintain a retailer or product catalog. That keeps the calculation independent of changing prices, stock and manufacturer listings. Visitors should verify every product’s actual outside measurements.
